The County of Sonoma's Permit and Resource Management Department seeks an experienced Geographic Information Systems professional.
The Geographic Information Technician II researches, creates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains land development geospatial datasets. Work includes creating and revising maps and documents, manipulating and maintaining spatial database feature classes utilizing geographic information systems (GIS); producing visual aids and exhibits for hearing presentations; assisting staff in defining data needs, project requirements, and required deliverables; and meeting state and federal requirements, as well as the needs of county departments and the general public, through detail oriented spatial analysis; and interpreting and explaining geographical information for staff and the public.
